Tallow

Our grass fed and finished tallow contains naturally occurring fatty acids that mimic the skin's lipids, which allows HolyFat to work with your skin instead of just sitting on top. Tallow supports your skin barrier and reduces moisture loss for smoother and more hydrated skin.

Tallow is rendered grass-fed beef fat. Its fatty-acid profile (mainly stearic, oleic, and palmitic acids) sits close to the lipids that human skin naturally produces. Used topically it acts as an occlusive moisturizer that helps reduce transepidermal water loss and supports the skin barrier.

We source from grass-fed and grass-finished animals; rendering is done in small batches at low temperature to keep the lipid profile intact.

Raw Honey

Raw honey contains active enzymes, antioxidants, and antibacterial properties. It functions primarily by pulling moisture into the skin, while also calming inflammation, fighting acne, and gently exfoliating to reveal a brighter complexion.

Raw honey is unprocessed honey containing trace pollens, antioxidants, and small amounts of naturally produced hydrogen peroxide. In topical use it acts as a humectant — it pulls moisture into the skin — and has been documented historically as a wound-recovery aid.

We blend the honey at low temperature so its enzymes stay active.

Olive Oil

Olive oil acts as a rich and natural emollient in your skin, providing deep hydration, antioxidant protection, and anti-inflammatory benefits

Cold-pressed extra-virgin olive oil contains roughly 70% oleic acid, plus polyphenols and natural vitamin E. As a topical emollient it softens skin while delivering antioxidant compounds.

We use organically grown, first-press oil for the cleanest possible profile.

The ritual

Warm a little

Scoop a rice-grain amount and warm it between clean fingertips until it turns to oil.

Press into damp skin

Press it into slightly damp face or body (no need to rub). It melts in and the shine settles fast.

Top up dry spots

Reapply on tight patches, lips, hands, or anywhere the weather has been rough.

The questions everyone asks about tallow

Beef fat on my face, really?

Yes, and there's a reason it works: grass-fed tallow is rich in the same fatty acids your skin's barrier is built from, so it feels familiar to your skin. People have used it on skin for generations. We just keep it clean, simple, and small-batch.

Is it greasy or heavy?

Used correctly, no. Warm a tiny amount and press it into damp skin. It melts in within about a minute and the shine settles to a soft, breathable finish. The trick is using less than you think.

Will it clog my pores or break me out?

It's a short, anhydrous formula of just three natural ingredients, made for dry and sensitive skin, and our independent safety assessment rates the risk of irritation as very low. As with any new product, patch-test first if you're acne-prone, and use a little.

What does it smell like?

Pure & Unscented has a faint, naturally buttery tallow scent and no added fragrance or fragrance allergens, and it fades quickly. Prefer something warmer? Vanilla & Orange and Lavender & Rose are scented with natural essential oils (their naturally occurring allergens are listed on the label).

How long does one jar last?

Because the cream is anhydrous and concentrated, you only need a rice-grain amount, so a jar stretches much further than a typical water-based cream. For best results, use within 12 months of opening.

Is it natural? Any preservatives?

It's 100% natural and fully anhydrous. There's no water in it, so it needs no preservatives at all. Just grass-fed beef tallow, organic extra-virgin olive oil and raw honey. Never tested on animals, in compliance with EU law.

Is it pregnancy- and baby-safe?

Pure & Unscented is just tallow, olive oil and honey, a simple choice many reach for during pregnancy and for little ones. As always, check with your doctor if you have specific concerns.
